CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Abstract submission is now closed.

Students, faculty, health administrators and service providers at all stages of their careers are invited to submit abstracts for presentations and workshops for the 1st annual GeoHealth Network conference to take place in Toronto on April 30th, 2019. We particularly welcome abstracts aimed at sharing successes and failures in projects which build capacity for qualitative, quantitative, contextual and/or traditional geographical methods to consider the complexities in place, space, and scale for the surveillance, understanding, or delivery of health, wellness and care. We encourage Indigenous students and researchers to share their research or to lead workshops related to aspects of urban and rural Indigenous health. Access to a computer lab and table-less rooms are available upon request, and workshops that include hands-on use of open source data and software are encouraged.

Two prizes of $250 sponsored by Esri Canada for best student project using Esri software!

One prize of $250 for the GeoHealth Network Student Award for best example of building capacity for health geography!
